I wrote my first poem in fifth grade and haven’t stopped since. As they say, “I don’t write poetry; poetry writes me.” Writing has been my therapy, my sanity, and a necessity ever since. From essays during my Journalism degree at Christ to term papers in my Masters in Politics at JNU, I’ve always found peace in the flow of words. My education taught me the power of asking the right questions, and emotionally, I’ve witnessed the chaos of relationships—good, bad, and everything in between. Through heartache, toxic cycles, and my parents’ troubled marriage, I turned to Instagram to share long pieces that became my space for healing and self-love.
